Development
Impact Student Achievement in Arizona Schools
During the 2007-08 academic year, AFRE is providing three teams of
educators with on-campus support and resources to ensure that
their professional development training is leveraged to the
maximum. “Make it Happen” program participants include
Brinton Elementary School (Mesa), Cartwright Elementary School
(Phoenix) and Peter Howell Elementary School (Tucson). Read more
Looking Back: 2007 AFRE AZventure Summer
Academies
Teachers from across the state learned powerful teaching
techniques while exploring Arizona as our classroom during three,
two-day AFRE summer academies. Experiences included a trip to a
hydropower dam, learning first-hand about mining from extraction
to reclamation, and creating classroom activities that meet
Arizona’s math and science standards using home building as
the theme. Read
