Research-Based Instructional Strategies:
Learning and Applying What Works

How can the use of instructional strategies from Marzano's categories increase my professional performance as a teacher and the academic achievement of my students?

Based on Robert Marzano's meta-analysis of 35 years of research in schools, this highly-engaging workshop highlights and “uncovers” the nine categories of instructional strategies proven to increase student achievement. This is a great opportunity to learn about, discuss, use, and reflect on these research-validated strategies and plan for how to implement them in your classroom. You will leave with many ideas and practical tips to help in implementing these strategies. You will:

  • Examine the nine instructional strategy categories and how they can positively impact student achievement
  • Observe and reflect on the strategies within the nine categories as they are modeled and explored in depth
  • Identify where specific strategies fit best into lesson and unit planning
  • Gain competence and confidence in applying and adapting the instructional strategies in your classrooms to “raise the bar” on your students' achievement

This workshop is for any educators who want to increase their instructional effectiveness. This is one you won’t want to miss!
