Places We Live – a Project Learning Tree (PLT) Workshop
7.5 Professional Development Hours
8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
June 30, 2008 in Flagstaff
With sufficient water, energy and mineral resources, we have several basic components of sustainable communities. Why do we live where we do? What essential elements create a community? Once built, how can we sustain those communities to ensure long-term quality of life? Examine issues involved with the places we live and how each individual plays a role in making decisions based on their needs and wants.
Teachers who have been trained in a PLT workshop, such as this one, are eligible to apply for a GreenWorks! grant. More information will be shared at this workshop or you can visit the GreenWorks! webpage.
